This is a club for kids who love books and literary
games. The club will host a book swap for our
school and assist in BEAR week activities.
Bowling Club

Students will go bowling at Towne and Country Lanes. Students walk to the bowling alley after school and enjoy a few games of bowling with their friends.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-3:30 pm

Club members will have the opportunity to work on any software that is available: iphoto, imovie, powerpoint, comic life. Members may also work with digital and video cameras. Students are also invited to use the time to do homework with might involve the computer.

The club will focus on maintaining the fish tanks throughout the school. The club will explore different fish and their habitats.
Jazz Band

Advisor: Mr. Ron Pedersen
Jazz Band is made up of both 7th and 8th graders, and meets after school on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:15. The Jazz Band is modeled after the unique Big Bands of the United States-saxes, trombones, trumpets and rhythm section. Jazz Band performs many styles of jazz including, swing, jazz-rock, funk, ballads and Latin. Each year, BASD hosts a Jazz-Fest which features the jazz groups from BHS, KMS and Dyer and a guest artist who is a professional on his/her instrument.
Knowledge Masters Club
2 competition dates and practices to be announced

This club will consist of a team of students who will compete against studnets in middle schools all over the United States. In a computer format, students will have to use their wits, quick thinking and knowledge to answer questions from geograghy, history, math, science, music trivia and many other areas.
Weightlifting and Conditioning
Monday and Wednesdays 2:30-4:00 pm

Learn the fundamentals of weightlifting in a safe environment. Students will workout using a circuit training system. This is a group that is open to both boys and girls and will meet Mondays and Wednesdays after school until 4pm.
